Goyder Ltd (“Goyder”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This notice explains what personal data we collect through goyder.co, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

2. What this notice covers
This notice applies to personal data we collect through:
- the goyder.co website;
- subscription to our regular trade updates;
- enquiries you send us via the contact form or by email; and
- cookies and analytics used on the website.
Our services are intended for businesses and professionals. The website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

We do not intentionally collect special category data (such as data about health, race or political opinions), and we ask that you do not send it to us through the website.
4. How we use your data, and our legal basis
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for each use of your personal data.
Send you the regular trade updates you subscribed to
Data used: Name and email.
Lawful basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time.
Respond to your enquiry and provide requested information
Data used: Name, company, email and message.
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): responding to people who contact us; and, where relevant, steps prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
Operate, secure and improve the website
Data used: Usage and device data, and cookies.
Lawful basis: Consent for non-essential cookies (Art. 6(1)(a)); legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for security and essential operation.
Keep business records and meet legal obligations
Data used: Relevant contact and correspondence data.
Lawful basis: Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are overridden by your rights, and you may object at any time (see section 11).
5. Cookies and analytics
The website uses cookies and similar technologies.
Essential cookies are necessary for the site to function. These do not require your consent.
Analytics and non-essential cookies help us understand how the site is used. We set these only with your consent, which you give through our cookie banner and can change at any time.
You can manage cookies through the cookie settings on the website and through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
6. Marketing communications
We send the regular briefing only to people who have subscribed. You can unsubscribe by emailing george@goyder.co. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.
7. Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions:

9. How we keep your data secure
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. Access to personal data is limited to those who need it, and our service providers are contractually required to maintain appropriate security. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure, but we work to protect your data using accepted industry practices.
10. How long we keep your data
Briefing subscription data
We keep this data until you unsubscribe, then remove it within 30 days, subject to suppression-list requirements to honour your unsubscribe.
Enquiry correspondence
We keep this data for up to 24 months after the enquiry closes, unless it becomes part of a client relationship. We keep data no longer than necessary for the purposes set out above, or as required by law.
11. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erase your data (“right to be forgotten”) in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- data portability for data you provided to us;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent; and
- not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing (we do not carry out such processing).
To exercise any of these rights, email george@goyder.co. We will respond within one month. Exercising your rights is free of charge in normal circumstances. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes, so that the data we hold stays accurate.

The website may contain links to other websites, including LinkedIn. This notice applies only to goyder.co. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy notices before providing any personal data.

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first at george@goyder.co so we can try to resolve it.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority:
- In the UK: the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), ico.org.uk.
- In the EU / EEA: the data protection authority in your country of residence or work.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be notified through the website or by email where appropriate.
